Improvement of Human Behavior in Medicine Teachers Through Interdisciplinarity in the Sciences

Introduction: Solutions from interdisciplinary to the current problems of society constitute a way to articulate disciplines, specialties and various areas of the vast existing knowledge, which in this study focuses on a topic related to the field of health in the teacher of the career of medicine.
Objective: To evaluate the interdisciplinarity of history, art and medicine for the improvement of human behavior in professors of internal medicine and pediatrics at the "Julio TrigoLopez" Faculty of Medical Sciences in the period from 2019 to 2022. Methods: Theoretical inquiries determined the theoretical foundations on human behavior and interdisciplinarity from the Advanced Education Theory. The empirical investigations made it possible to characterize the current state of behavior in teachers and identify the main problems and potentialities and the modifications after applying the talks, exchanges of experiences, conferences, debates and other alternatives.
Results: The benefits of the disciplines of history, literature, painting, sculpture, music, architecture, internal medicine and pediatrics were enhanced in the history-art-medicine links. The influence of these on motivation, integrity, teaching and professional performance in the studied sample was evidenced. The alternatives of Advanced Education used in the proposed interdisciplinarity allowed the evident improvement of the educational orientation, methodological didactic and intellectual production dimensions in the 17 indicators evaluated.
Conclusions: A transformation was evidenced that contributed to the improvement of the human behavior of internist and pediatrician teachers.
